Joseph joined Suncorp Valuations in 2018. Prior to this, Joseph accumulated 42 years of experience in the valuation industry and has been involved in many complex engagements for a myriad of uses from financial reporting (IFRS/FASB/ASPE/IASB), to purchase price allocation, to insurance placement.
Joseph has served public sector entities, privately held companies, and many publicly traded corporations. Joseph has completed high profile valuation projects for companies in forestry, power generation, oil and gas production and distribution, deep sea shipping, grain handling, food processing, petrochemical and mining.
Joseph holds a diploma in Forest Resource Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Joseph is fluent in both the English and Portuguese languages.

Suncorp Valuations was started by Tom in 1984 after working in his father’s valuation business in Edmonton and Saskatoon. Suncorp Valuations quickly grew to international operations and within 25 years became one of the largest independent valuation firms in Canada. During his tenure, Suncorp Valuations has increasingly been called on to perform valuations for complex mining, refinery and industrial projects as far away as Bahrain and Dubai.
Suncorp now sets the Canadian standard in condominium appraisal and is North America’s most experienced appraiser of churches and other religious properties. Through Tom’s leadership, Suncorp Valuations has grown to include Risk Management services. Suncorp Valuations routinely values whole municipalities, including road and sewer infrastructure, water treatment facilities, recreation complexes, and has become one of the largest providers of school safety audits in the country.
Tom is recognized as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Machinery and Technical Specialties, the American Society of Appraisers. As well, he is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Chetan began his career with Suncorp Valuations in 1992, and has been engaged in all levels of the organization. In his role of Vice President, Business Development, he works with the Business Development group to market the firm’s services.
Chetan participated on the appraisal team that appraised several high profile office towers in New York City.
Chetan has Bachelor degrees in Commerce and Political Science, was previously a Licensed Insurance Broker, and has received a Distinguished Service Award from the Canadian Condominium Institute.

Joe has over 30 years in the valuation industry and has engaged in a variety of senior roles, including: regional management of valuation services, business development, research and strategic planning.
Joe is recognized as an industry expert in valuations for financial reporting (IFRS/FASB/ASPE/IASB), public sector entities, mass appraisals, insurance placement and other specialty services.
He has overseen high profile valuation projects for landmark properties, such as Le Chateau Frontenac, Royal Canadian Mint and Roy Thompson Hall.
Joe is recognized as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Machinery and Technical Specialties, the American Society of Appraisers.

Devin began his career in the mining industry and transitioned to lending for a large credit union organization. He joined Suncorp Valuations in 2010 and works with the Business Development team to market the firm’s services.
Devin has been involved in the project managing of several large scale projects in food processing and various commercial real estate portfolios. He has managed appraisal engagements for financing, insurance placement, accounting and property records (IFRS), and litigation support for clients throughout Canada.
Devin has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
