Kathy Yorkston originally joined Suncorp Valuations in 2006, as a Valuation Consultant based in Edmonton. Kathy provides valuation services to private and public entity clientele, with her primary focus being the provision of real estate valuations for international insurance firms, government agencies, and property management companies.
Kathy has analytical experience with all real estate property types including single and multi-family residential, commercial, industrial, development land, and agricultural.
Kathy has a Bachelor of Design Studies degree from the University of Adelaide and a diploma in Architectural Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Luis Diaz joined Suncorp Valuations in 2021 as a Senior Consultant for the Industrial team based in Los
Angeles, California.
For the past 15 years, Luis has been an active member of the industry. He has done a large number of
appraisals, including building and public utilities such as water treatment plants, wastewater treatment
plants, electric substations, churches, hospitals, airports, ports, educational buildings, and land
improvements. He has experience in project management as well.
Luis is working towards getting his ASA designation.

Kira Penner joined Suncorp Valuations in 2021 as a Senior Consultant for the Private Sector team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Kira has residential and commercial valuation consultant experience, real estate appraiser, and market analyst experience, and holds a Bachelor of Business (Real Estate) and Diploma (Urban Land Economics), plus Canadian Residential Appraiser (CRA, P.App) and Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI, P.App) designations.

Suncorp Valuations was started by Tom in 1984 after working in his father’s valuation business in Edmonton and Saskatoon. Suncorp Valuations quickly grew to international operations and within 25 years became one of the largest independent valuation firms in Canada. During his tenure, Suncorp Valuations has increasingly been called on to perform valuations for complex mining, refinery and industrial projects as far away as Bahrain and Dubai.
Suncorp now sets the Canadian standard in condominium appraisal and is North America’s most experienced appraiser of churches and other religious properties. Through Tom’s leadership, Suncorp Valuations has grown to include Risk Management services. Suncorp Valuations routinely values whole municipalities, including road and sewer infrastructure, water treatment facilities, recreation complexes, and has become one of the largest providers of school safety audits in the country.
Tom is recognized as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Machinery and Technical Specialties, the American Society of Appraisers. As well, he is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Chetan began his career with Suncorp Valuations in 1992, and has been engaged in all levels of the organization. In his role of Vice President, Business Development, he works with the Business Development group to market the firm’s services.
Chetan participated on the appraisal team that appraised several high profile office towers in New York City.
Chetan has Bachelor degrees in Commerce and Political Science, was previously a Licensed Insurance Broker, and has received a Distinguished Service Award from the Canadian Condominium Institute.
