Gregg joined Suncorp in January 2022 as Director of the Industrial Group based out of Edmonton, AB. In his previous role, he was head of machinery and business assets for a multi-discipline appraisal practice in Dubai, UAE.
He has completed large valuation projects in the UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and North and South America. His experience includes asset based lending (ABL), accounting and financial reporting including purchase price allocation (PPA), insurance placement, insolvency, and internal transfer purposes for corporate clients. Sectors and markets include manufacturing, construction, food and drink, automotive, aerospace, woodworking, mining, engineering, marine, plastics, public sector, education, oil and gas, commercial vehicles, electronics and semiconductor.
Gregg holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Archaeology from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Machinery & Technical Specialties, with the American Society of Appraisers.

Luis Diaz joined Suncorp Valuations in 2021 as a Senior Consultant for the Industrial team based in Los
Angeles, California.
For the past 15 years, Luis has been an active member of the industry. He has done a large number of
appraisals, including building and public utilities such as water treatment plants, wastewater treatment
plants, electric substations, churches, hospitals, airports, ports, educational buildings, and land
improvements. He has experience in project management as well.
Luis is working towards getting his ASA designation.

Kira Penner joined Suncorp Valuations in 2021 as a Senior Consultant for the Private Sector team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Kira has residential and commercial valuation consultant experience, real estate appraiser, and market analyst experience, and holds a Bachelor of Business (Real Estate) and Diploma (Urban Land Economics), plus Canadian Residential Appraiser (CRA, P.App) and Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI, P.App) designations.

Joseph joined Suncorp Valuations in 2018. Prior to this, Joseph accumulated 42 years of experience in the valuation industry and has been involved in many complex engagements for a myriad of uses from financial reporting (IFRS/FASB/ASPE/IASB), to purchase price allocation, to insurance placement.
Joseph has served public sector entities, privately held companies, and many publicly traded corporations. Joseph has completed high profile valuation projects for companies in forestry, power generation, oil and gas production and distribution, deep sea shipping, grain handling, food processing, petrochemical and mining.
Joseph holds a diploma in Forest Resource Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Joseph is fluent in both the English and Portuguese languages.

Suncorp Valuations was started by Tom in 1984 after working in his father’s valuation business in Edmonton and Saskatoon. Suncorp Valuations quickly grew to international operations and within 25 years became one of the largest independent valuation firms in Canada. During his tenure, Suncorp Valuations has increasingly been called on to perform valuations for complex mining, refinery and industrial projects as far away as Bahrain and Dubai.

Through Tom’s leadership, Suncorp Valuations has grown to include Risk Management services. Tom is recognized as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Machinery and Technical Specialties, the American Society of Appraisers. As well, he is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
